 Vortex ® Iris Valve
Valve Application Information

The patent-pending Vortex Iris Valve is used to control the gravity discharge of free-flowing dry material from bins, bulk bags, chutes and hoppers.

  • Gravity flow
  • Handles non abrasive to mildly abrasive powders, granulars, or pellets
  • Horizontal valve application is normal (however, the valve can be oriented vertically for certain applications – e.g. used as a squeegee for liquid coolant on extruded, plastic pipe)
  • A variety of sleeve options to accommodate material handled
  • Double sleeving for fine, dusty material
